The publication of Scotland on Sunday's ELIGIBLES list is the year's most anticipated event for anyone who is single, Scottish, successful and looking for love. And for those of us who are just old-fashioned romantics at heart and enjoy the spectacle. Now in its twelfth year, the ELIGIBLES list celebrates everything that is great about that most thrilling of life's adventures, the pursuit of love, by asking the public to nominate who they think should make the cut in Scotland on Sunday's final list of the 50 most eligible Scots of 2011.

Each year we scour the country for ELIGIBLES nominees and again we need your help in creating our final list of 50. It could be our global rock star, our Olympic medalist, our primary teacher or our charity worker. Every one of our Eligibles is worthy of your vote.

Voting on the top 100 nominees closed at midnight on Sunday 19 June, and the final list of Scotland on Sunday's ELIGIBLES 2011 was announced in Spectrum magazine on 26 June, followed by the social event of the year, the exclusive ELIGIBLES 2011 party, which you could be at.
